Lives Gone, No Longer Among Us

Their Familiar Faces, Fading In Gusts

Of Windy Memories, Swirling In Dust

Forgotten ‘Til Moments Demand We Must

Remember With Love, Their Life So Robust

With Promise and Dreams, Their Trials and Trust

Their Talents, Their Laughter, Losses and Triumphs

A Favorite Song, Show, Shoes, Places and Plus

Fears … And Even The Not So Serious Fuss

Or Secrets We Shared, But Didn’t Discuss

Or How We Made It Thru Times, But Barely Just

But Together, Determined To Do It or Bust!

* Until Death Came Skulking In A Jealous Lust

To Steal and Hide Them Deep In Earth’s Crust

And Those Left Behind Must Learn To Adjust

As Hearts Filled With Grief Are Prone To Combust

And Metallic Tears Cause Acceptance To Rust

But In Missing Them, We Never Give Up Nor Thrust …

Those Gone, No Longer Among Us …
