Those We Knew Poem by Adeline A Roberts

Those We Knew

There were those we knew
Those who made us feel a certain way
Those who blew our minds
Those who made time seem so short and so long at the same time
Those who made our hearts skip
Those who we loved not romanticly but enough to make our hearts burn with tears when we miss them
Those who changed our lives with their encounter
Those you never realized until you were miles away that they meant the world to you
Those or that one person
Like him
I loved him too much though not romanticly but soulfully
Like we were meant to meet even if not to marry each other but to love each other dearly
To be the best at supporting each other deeply
Yes that's the word deeply
But those we knew are so far way
and slowly becoming only those we knew.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I miss a friend. We shared so much emotionally with each other. we put our burdens on each other. I felt like a different person around him. He was the first guy friend I walked with so much! He taught me so much about putting yourself into music. Making beats was like his second language. I always felt his tracks. He made one for me once and it was so deep.. it had no words just beats and such and I cried so much because it was so beautiful to me! He was the first guy I loved so much in an unromantic way. But then I had to move away and things changed because of distsnce and time difference. We still talk but its not the same when we are so far from each other.
