Those Who Loved Me Poem by Amar Agarwala

Those Who Loved Me

O' Life and thy sorcery
Deeper truth's that you did hide!
Inferred not who loved & cared
Dearest ones who stood beside.

Why my eyes saw not this score
Of their selfless acts and thought?
My naiveté has been endless
Something I could fathom not.

Sands of time have swept away
Mirage of liaisons weak,
Now truth having dawned on me
Their clemency I do seek.

Should they forgive the baseness
Laid out by my mortal guise,
It would help me wriggle through
From Hades to Paradise.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
LIFE

It would have been so much better had we lived life backwards, at least we would have not made the glaring mistakes and errors we commit. Wishful thinking, for it belies the very cycle of life... but the poet in me laments this fact.
