Thought Gives Way Poem by Melody McKinstrie

Thought Gives Way

Rating: 5.0

When I will go
Away, away
Far from you in thought
As is the case
In physical distance.
That day
Will it be a victory?
Or just an escape?
Who will say?
It is all me
And my thinking
It perplexes
As much as giving.

Give way! Give way!
Oh the analogies
Perhaps I should just
Say a cliff gives way
Unto the sea
It plunges
The earth absorbed
Piece by piece
Till it is just
A frothy mix
Where once was earth
It is now stark
And has a new outlook.
Seemingly devastated
But it had to come
To this
Due to sheer force.
