Thoughts Astray Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Thoughts Astray

Thoughts Astray

My wildly moving thoughts
Brought my world to a halt
Finally
Finally.

It was as a storm.
I didn't belong
To my own self.
It was a travesty.

I finally believed in God.
And took hold of that thought
That one that would save me
From me.

Now there's a new horizon.
It covers all bad possibilities
And possible blunders.
I seeked refuge in Him.
