Thoughts Depressing Are Still Thoughts Poem by james watkin

Thoughts Depressing Are Still Thoughts

Thoughts depressing are still thoughts;
Glum-set, or murkier.
Merit not more, what repulses
As lake's skummy matter.
Bursts a decisive blaze of hope!
Of light, what makes serene
Each image, summer-buoyant.
Of sails over-keen.
