Thoughts From Train Poem by Manav Darjee

Thoughts From Train

While I look through the glass
From inside my cell of a train so fast
I see the trees and fields passing by
And some innocent kids waving me bye
A journey to an unknown place
Its time to meet long lost friends
Lots of excitement in my heart
So much to do, don't know where to start
I look down the memory lane
Lots of laugh and some pain
Yet everything have their worth
Each block needed for this bond to forge
I long to meet my friend
To give him a hug, to sing and dance
Also I wish to explore the city
Happily roam around the streets of Delhi
Yet when I go, I leave something behind
Somebody could have been my valentine
She is a sweetheart, she is so right
Moody a little and loves to fight
But I know what she is and what not
She is soft, gentle and definitely hot
But to know her a little more advance
I could have made some nice plans
A beautiful dinner with candle lights
In place of a dull ride without sights
Yet I chose to board the train
To lose some and something to gain
With mixed emotions in my heart
I bide time with words and art
But you my sweet, you be merry
Go out, have fun, dress like a fairy
Keep this in mind that your gifts are due
Roses, chocolates, hugs, to name a few
In short, I just have this to say
When we meet again, it'll be Valentine's Day! ! !
