Thoughts Of An Old Love Poem by Ana Z. M.

Thoughts Of An Old Love

From the walls left of our broken castle
where everything seemed to be a fairytale story with happy endings,
Lays the best of our lives.

From the memories of what we used to be,
lays the miracle of knowledge over love,
and the way to know how to be oneself,
without depending on it.

From what is left of you and me,
you can gather a tear a heart,
know I am still there,
and that you weren't left behind.

I loved once, and I loved forever,
time seems not to end love,
or to heal wounds,
time will just make you learn how to keep moving on,
with all of them aching on our hearts..

There are some very mature ideas here, and well expressed, especially the last stanza.
