Thousands Of Illiterate People Together Are Incomparable To A Virtuous Person!
Even if multitudes of stars are aggregated and shine,
These cannot be so bright like the moon so fine
That eliminates widespread darkness around!
Similarly,
Even if thousands of illiterate people joined together,
They cannot be comparable and equal to a person
Who is learned and so virtuous in character for ever!

மாயிரு ஞாலத்து மாண்(பு) ஒருவன் போல்கலார்
பாய்இருள் நீக்கும் மதியம்போல் பல்மீனும்
காய்கலா ஆகும் நிலா.47 - பழமொழி நானூறு
