Three Score



The days of our life?
Three score years and ten.
Six decades are gone.
They won't come again.
A half score remains,
If the Bible is right.
And after that only
An unending night.

Today,3rd August 2022 is my sixtieth birthday. The poem's title refers to a line in Psalm 90: 'The days of our years are threescore years and ten.'
