Rating: 4.5

Fluid water drips
Solid water cracks and splits -
But clouds drift by mute

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Three states of Water exist on Planet Water
Water is the only natural substance found on earth in all three physical states at the temperatures that exist naturally on our planet - Earth (misnamed) . This means that, on ‘Planet Water', we see water as a liquid: in rivers, lakes and the ocean; as a solid: in snow and ice, and as a gas: in clouds, mist, fog and steam. If this was not the case the water cycle that continually moves water onto the dry land in clouds, that bring rain and which re-charge the rivers that drain back into the ocean would not exist. Water is a truly amazing substance that we should cherish and revere. Water in the Hub of Life on Planet Water. This haiku highlights the three states of water and the sounds they make.
