Thrill Of The Game Poem by Marilyn Lott

Thrill Of The Game

We’re sitting high up in the bleachers
Ball players are just little specks
But still the fun surrounds us
And the excitement builds up yet

Everyone having drinks and hot dogs
Ball hat perched on our heads
Now what inning is it did they say?
We’re busy with surroundings instead

Perhaps it is your favorite team
Or you’re going just for the thrill
And if you’re looking for excitement
Why, the game will fill the bill

You’re out in the fresh open air
Wearing shorts and tank top
Juggling a few things to eat
The excitement just doesn’t stop

If you’re a sports fan, my friend
Or just plain like to have fun
Then a ball game is perfect for you
Out in the blazing sun!
