Through A Childs Eyes Poem by sue crocker

Through A Childs Eyes

Rating: 5.0

The world to us is a disgrace,
No hope is there for the human race,
People fighting endless wars,
Through no reason, to settle scores,

Crime is on the increase,
Drugs abuse is a problem now,
How do we protect our children,
For I fear we don't know how,

Well look at life through a childs eyes,
Through there innocence they will cope, ,
They don't see this world as dangerous,
But a place thats full of hope,

They don't look at the colour of skin,
When with friends they want to play,
They don't comment on religion,
Or which way that you should pray,

They are happy to play with anyone,
They just want to be friends,
Innocence is wonderful I think,
It has no need to make amends,

So if we teach them well enough,
Maybe they will interact,
And come to some agreement,
Maybe one day make it fact,

That this world with all its greed and hate,
Its bloody battles, wars and lies,
Could improve so dramatically,
If we looked through a childs eyes

I lciked this one right into my favorites. Wonderfully inspiring poem in which all of us can agree, yet so few can articulate as you. Good stuff, thank you for it! Stone
