Through A Glass Darkly Poem by Shaun Cronick

Through A Glass Darkly

Rating: 5.0

To view with crystal perception,
Austere shadows must be purged away.
For through a glass darkly,
Each night will never follow its day.

Oh! Well spotted Dominic. Give that poet a cigar! In fact two cigars! One for recognising its biblical reference and two for Ingmar Bergman. I thought nobody would ever notice and to shoot two poetry ducks with one shot, impresses me even more. Well done and we all seek clarity, albeit, in many different contained vassals and countless different guises, shapes and forms. Thank you and take care good sir.

Excellent poem...with a real sense of the mystical...love the biblical reference...also the title of an Ingmar Bergman film. How to achieve crystal perception in these dark times? A question that always seems to pop up in my consciousness. Anyhow, it's a totally perceptive ten from me!
