Through A Sky So Transparent

Through a sky so transparent
I can see the glaze on clouds
I wanted to see in that dream
Of apple green, of a fission of roses
Of tears of chandeliered sapphire
Of the river that comes no more to the door
Of the road grown over with honeysuckle and fern
Of the nectar of time sipped clear to
The fading from the stage
Of the former participants
In the dream crowds
Into a white gold light
