Through My Kitchen Window
Through my kitchen window
There's a glory to behold
Autumn leaves upon the bough
Brown, yellow, red and gold
Moonlight shining softly
As a lantern in the sky
Casting her spectral shadows
Upon the land to lie
Through my kitchen window
With so many things to see
An orange dawn, blushing sun
A fruited apple tree
Flowing there, a river
Passing fields of green beyond
Glittering in the sunlight
With sparkling crystals donned
Through my kitchen window
Lies a world so sweet and fair
Birds all dancing as they sing
Fly high without a care
Watching all this splendour
And the treasures that abound
Sunlight through the drifting clouds
Falls dappled on the ground
Through my kitchen window
When the sky is cobalt blue
Whilst basking in its beauty
My love, I think of you
