Through The Veins Of My Heart Poem by Ashly Linscheid

Through The Veins Of My Heart

Rating: 5.0

Where the roads don't go
and the paths don't wind.
Where the futures lost
and love is blind.

Where visitors aren't welcome
and gates run high.
Where happiness doesn't stay
and all that's heard is goodbye.

Where the concretes hard
and the rivers run cold.
Through the veins of my heart
is where this story is told.

Where the knocks are heard,
but no one is let in.
Where the key is lost
never to be found again.

Where the pain is stored
and never let out.
Where tears fall
and crash about.

This place you cannot see,
but it's more than real to me.
Through the veins of my heart
is where this story leads.
