Through The Years Poem by David Duease

Through The Years

Sex, drugs and rock and roll
Filled my younger days.
But through the years
I've slowly changed my ways.

I thought that I was having fun
With all the whiskey and the beer.
But then I finally came to see
That my life was much more dear.

I used to party through the night,
Without a single care.
But I grew tired and weary,
Before I paid the fare.

That life will slowly drag you down
Into sadness and dispair.
And if you get caught up in it's web,
You're life wil soon be bare.
