Through To You Poem by jess deaves

Through To You

For a friend.

There is always some reason to not feel good enough
How many times do you think i can cope with your cold rebuffs?
Always we got through it emerged intact like i diamond from the rough
But how do you expect me to shoulder all this stuff?

Dont tell me i havent been good to you or never there
You can accuse in your dispare but you cant say its fair
I way always there for what there was to share
Sit and glare but of that one thing i know you are aware

All your expectations they bury me
But you are so angry you just cant see
Even if you spoke up you would more than likely disagree
Just want to clear the debris to see what we could still be

How many times have i questioned you?
Everytime just wanting to get through
We need to talk its overdue i would have though you would think this too
But you dont let anything out no matter how much i persue

So lock and key you wont open up for me
What do you want for me to beg to plea?
When did this get so hard cant we just agree?
Even if it is to a certain degree

You have been my life and i never planned growing old without you there
I love you, you must be aware?
Through the wear and the tear i figured our lives we would share
Taking the time we need to repair

I want the long awaited answer to a long and painful fight
