Thy Day Blessed In Honour Poem by MBJ Pancras

Thy Day Blessed In Honour

(This verse is penned on the occasion of Maria Priyanthi’s silver jubilee of her vocation according to Roman Catholic doctrine, 7th August 2011)

Blessed is the day that thou art honoured,
And the day is this day with the blessings from Above.
I was not there, when thou are honoured’
For no sort of word translated unto me of thy honour;
Yet I rejoice in thy remembrance of me
Of what thou confessed of my inspiration unto thee.
I felt spring of joy caressed my soul.
Let me read thy heart opened on thy day blessed:
“I lie in the cradle of service devoted to the Lord
Who alone hath shown the Way to Eternity.
I was a girl, who could not read the language of humans,
And every day I watched the world to go
Until a word of inspiration thrilled my heart,
Whose inspiration I’ve imbibed deep within.
I was solemnized on the day I’d been inspired,
And I believe he’s the tool of vocation.
I was taught of the Risen Lord and the Way to serve Him.
He showed the Way of service beyond the world.
I ran with Time thro’ ordeals and hardships;
Yet caressed by the roses of Blood of Jesus Christ.
I learnt love in the Blood of the Lamb.
The lesson I learnt is the Cross of Calvary
Which is the passage of Eternity built across.
My joy is not the days I longed for this honour,
But how my heart dwells on the love of Christ.
Thy words of blessings bind me here now,
And my soul rejoices in the Cal of the Lord.
Twenty-five milestones I passed amidst thorns and roses,
I was pricked and bruised; yet healed by His Blood.
I’ve been caressed and hugged by the sweetness of His Call.
Now He hath made a wreath for my service unto Him,
And I dwell in the fragrance of His graceful love.
Time hath come unto me that I proclaim the Word unto the world.
Let me begin the second phase of my journey.”

Blessed is the day that thou art honoured,
And the day is this day with the blessings from Above.
I was not there, when thou are honoured’
For no sort of word translated unto me of thy honour;
Yet I rejoice in thy remembrance of me
Of what thou confessed of my inspiration unto thee.
I felt spring of joy caressed my soul.
