Standing here, just staring at this tidal wave,
Thinking, 'Lord, how could it be this way? '.
I close my eyes, and expect to be washed away,
I losen up, there's nothing left to say.
And I,
waited to be torn apart,
Pretending, nothing's eating at my heart.
I wish my life just ended on this day,
I just wanted to be flushed away!
But then angels appeared there by my side,
To hold me through the coming tide.
I feel the water washing up my knees,
I hear the surge roaring in the breeze.
But now I stare at it in the face,
And I say, 'Come, I've already won the race! '
