Tides Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Tides

Rating: 5.0

After long time, again
I walked westward.
The gone image keep
reappearing and at last
my eager steps were
catching every change
on the trail.
Now, with new heartbeats
and feeling stranger-like
breathing salty breeze
I walked westward again.
From the grassy trail
I step on the sand.
Wow...tides and tides! !
White flowers dancing on
oscillating Emerald-Blue.
With a chorus of excited
roar they shouted
'Where were you? '
Abashed, I smiled and waved
They were mad with joy.
Some, rushed towards me,
quietly spreading over
the sand.
Their frothy touch
was overwhelming.
I felt ashamed for
the absence.
They keep on coming siring
speedily again and again.
The mighty sea was getting
restless in my veins.
And those mad tides and tides
..for ages, they were
waiting for me.
