I believed that this was true
I thought he was my future

He promised that the world was mine
He’d never make me blue
I thought he told the truth to me

He said he’d never leave me
There was nothing to misconstrue
I thought I had my mate for life

I thanked God for his presence
I did not think we were through
When he cheated I lost all happiness
