Time Poem by Aisha Sherazi

Time

If only I had mor etime,
So much I could achieve,
I'd be a different person,
I truly do believe.

If I had more time,
I'd give you so much,
I'd be more tuned in,
I'd be more in touch.

I wish there was not,
So much to do,
I'm always so busy,
Believe me it's true.

I'm sorry that I,
Was silent when we,
Drove along in the car,
It's not like me.

It's just that sometimes,
My mind does wander,
I need some time,
To sit and ponder.

To think about things,
And where they're going,
To plan for things,
My plans keep growing.

Do I create,
Work for myself?
Do I make it worse,
'Cause I don't ask for help?

Do I distract myself,
From living this life?
Choosing to ignore,
I opt for trouble and strife?

It pains me to think,
I'm too busy for you,
But your patience with me,
It gets me through.

Through this life,
This busy world,
Way to busy,
To speak a kind word.

Keep reminding me dear,
I surrender to you,
When you kiss me and smile,
I know that it's true.

I've wasted time,
We could have shared,
I could have spent more time,
Showing you I cared.

So continue to teach me,
The importance of time,
To waste something precious,
Is indeed a crime.
