Time... Poem by Prabir Gayen

Time has lost its favour, the warmth,
The Sun of life is setting soon,
The day is gone the night has fallen,
The forest is silent with fleeting light,
The old familiar faces are old enough,
The tress and the roads are new,
Many people have gone into nothingness,
The slow silent moon is not known,
The sun is ever new with warmth of life,
Still I have not found old friendship,
The tune of morning prayer is monotonous,
Soil and water are  stronger than
Fire and ether,
Life is lurking behind the murky moon,
The cloud has lost its lustre,
Rain and falls and falls with no
pattering sound,
The murmur of the morning beeeze
has got no message,
I see in the sky the gloomy records,
Something is missing in the vast ocean,
The waves are empty and in the moonlight.
