Time Poem by Sally Walker

Time

Something:
Short around you,
But long without.
Never ending-
and eternal.
As is my love for you.
I'd certainly hope the same for me too.
Your gorgeous appearance may not be forever.
But I'll always see it through:
Your kind words,
Your lips,
Your kiss,
Your eyes,
Your touch,
Your arms around me,
Your scent,
Your beautiful personality.
Because who you are-
is all I'll ever need.
To be with you,
To see you,
To love you,
Is enough to stop time.
And allow me to take a glance at all of your beauty.
Yes, a glance.
Because your looks are so pure and glorious that nobody, not even me can take it all in.
But that single glance is all I need.
More time is not necessary.
It proves my love for you is more than deserving.
For that glance shines more than anyone else's beauty with all of theirs taken in.
So I'll be good.
As I should.
Knowing that:
Even time itself will never have enough to behold all of you.
