It is Songs that are the Poem-
Songs which surprise
In suggestions and remembrances
Deepest feelings-
Time and again
It is the songs simple words
That lift the soul
To that kind of Joy only Beauty gives.
The songs the music-
With the words or without
They are so often the Poem
The Soul lives in
And would be less without.
