Time does pace the day and heart
Seconds ticking the hours away
Love serene and supporting
Denying sorrow and grief to reign.
Questions fill the questing mind
Seeking answers only death can answer
What lies beyond our last breathe
When heart stops beating and lungs fail
And body returns as dust to mother earth?
Where does the Universe begin and end
Who made the sun, moon, and billions of stars?
Created life in abundance upon planet earth
With lovers wanting time paused
Remaining forever together in love.
