Time Is The Healer Poem by Francis Duggan

Time Is The Healer

Rating: 5.0

An ache in your right big toe does leave you with some pain
But at least youhave something of for to complain
You say the result of your x ray for it is a sprain
Quite swollen the nagging ache with you remain

You stubbed it whilst walking barefoot on the toilet door
This is something that has happened to others before
Within a week or two they were feeling okay
As you will too time does heal as they say

Your swollen stubbed toe leaves you walking slightly lame
There are far worse things than this that one can name
For your aching toe i cannot offer you much sympathy
But then i am one who lacks in empathy

Your Facebook friends are such caring people you have come to realize
At news of your painful stubbed toe with you they sympathize
Though few in the flesh of them you seem to know
Such kindness to you in their words they does show

You do not have that much to complain about
A stubbed toe less painful than than the swelling of gout
In a week or two you will be feeling okay
That time is the healer it does seem this way.
