Time Just Keeps On

Rating: 5.0

time just keeps on going faster each day!
with every year put behind me
the accelleration rate
has increased
not merely incrementally,
but exponentially
until
the days begin to seem
a heavy leaden ball rolling
down some long and steeply inclined plane,
at an every increasingly rapid
rate of speed.
round and round until
even thoughts spin off like bits of dust or moss
cast free by centrifugal motion.
and sometimes i wonder: 'where it will all end? '
i mean, is there a bottom to this hill?
does it ever level off a bit?
or does it all just suddenly come to such an
abrupt halt,
that the sheer force of the momentum
hurls me headlong into some
previously unnoticed
wall?

You've captured that ever pschologically true admission that Time does appear to speed up frighfully, as we grow older....And through picture & metaphor, you relay this belief to the Reader so very well, my dear...Solid work, Moon............F. j. R.
