I will, you say, in time, you say,
and it makes me wonder if you comprehend time,
understand it's movement, the speed of its' movement,
discern the fact that every moment
is a moment we will never, ever get back.
Just a moment you chime, in your honey-sweet voice,
and I wonder if you ever heard your own chime
as Church bells tolling from its' steeple top,
telling you, the service has begun-
without you...priorities need your time.
Time and tide wait for no man; how I hate cliché's!
Never use them, un-poetic, but some speak wisdom.
Sometimes we must stop and embrace the gifts of Life,
and if you do you may find that time can be a friend,
temporarily...but so is our existence here.
Time is a non-negotiable fact and element
in a time zone shared by every God-made Life.
