Time Means Nothing Anymore Poem by Shalom Freedman

Time Means Nothing Anymore

Rating: 5.0

Time means nothing anymore
There is time and more time
And too much time
It will stop of course
And run out
But it does not seem to matter when
A few more years
A few less
What seems to matter
Is how I will die
And how much trouble I will be at the end
To those I most do not want to be trouble to-

There is a lot of time
A year five years maybe even ten
But I don’t have the purpose and the will anymore
All the years I had purpose and will
Though I never got to where I wanted to go
Now I have just Time
And staying alright for as long as possible-

It is boring to be an old man
With no work or purpose anymore-
Tomorrow will be more pleasure or less-
It does not matter really
The game is done
And I am not playing anything anymore-

Staying alive and making the best of it
Time and more time
And how I will die.

There is a continuous flow of time. Life is how we utilise our time in life- how we live and how we die as you have rightly pointed out: What seems to matter Is how I will die
