Time, The Dancing Queen Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Time, The Dancing Queen

Time, the dancing Queen

even in thoughts,
i see time as a sassy dancer in her own domain watching, stalking,
, from birth, the dancing queen watching the birthing, the horrible screams of pains by bedside,

the mirth, smile on a mothers face after the ordeals, reflecting on her own invisible face on hospital windows watching the new life.

later she watches the gains as the child stumbles to manhood

Crawling on all fours before the plenums, upright life on earth.

The irresistible images of a young man, a pretty young woman.

development, always the haste of seeing flowers blooms matures, nature transformed, transformation and recycle,
recycling,

always the hastening process of the dough,
the old flower to rot, the new spring to intervene and finally to usher to itsgrave.

the man marries, his handsome face beside,
kissed the soft brows of the bride from the coloring makeup kit provided by the aides,

The dancing queen be the silent witness,

then after the completed cycles of transitions,

Mothers to grandmothers, fathers to patriachs,

always the haste to bring you to her knees and dissolve into the dusts of her fate.
