How’d we get started on this merry-go-round?
Your horse is up
When my horse is down
We keep goin’ ‘round in circles
To the same crazy song
Buy two more tickets and climb right back on
It’s time to stop startin’ over again
It’s time to quit making beginnings from ends
We keep sayin’ goodbye, but we don’t wanna go
We’re getting’ nowhere to fast and somewhere too slow
We tried all the rides that go up and down
Move forwards and backwards and spin you around
That take you heights and then let you fall
We keep movin’ somewhere, but nowhere at all
The carnival barker yelled out “win a prize! ”
We both paid our money and both got three tries
We both got three ringers and won a few rounds
If we just knew that it’s time to quit when you’re down
It’s time to stop startin’ over again
It’s time to quit making beginnings from ends
We keep sayin’ goodbye, but we don’t wanna go
We’re getting’ nowhere to fast and somewhere too slow
