Time Travels With Me

Rating: 5.0

TIME TRAVELS WITH ME

Sitting still on the shore of life
As cascades of thoughts floods my mind
Reminding me how I travelled
And sailed ashore by tide of time.

Deep the treasures of years I sank
Reminiscing those historic days
When I danced to the tune of success
Massaging my crying heart with soothing balm.

I remember when time took me for a trip
A trip to the inhuman world where blood spattered
And flooded the streets of my home
Beclouding the sky with smoke of grief.

I remember those days when sky weeped
Not of rain but with tears of sadness
When our homes was charred to ashes
Ending our life as pieces and fragments.

I remember the days when we were hunted
With arrows and guns instilling terror in our lives
I remember those nights that never spells peace
That even the moon and stars hide in fears.
As I visit the memory lane, I remember
Of the poems we wrote lulling to bed our loved ones
Of the lines we screeched with our blunt pens
Planting a seed of hope in their hearts.

I have seen and heard all -the good and the bad
My bold eyes lost their sight in ocean of tears
And my hungry ears deafened with life's lies
Daily sung in deceitful songs.

This clock I tightly hugged in my fragile arms
Tells me how time ticks and flew away the tree of my life
Tells me how late I am to fulfill those ton of wishes
Long written on the canvas of my heart.

I am in love with this companion of mine
It tells me that even the sun and moon retired to bed
To rest their tired limbs from the chaos of this world
So I breathe through it before my grave smiled at me.
