Times Of Change Poem by izzie jonesmunroe

Times Of Change

A new day, unexpected dawn
A distant man, a distant world
You were brought to me
By the times of change.
A sudden command, sarcastic and snide reply
A lowered head, a question presented.
Compromise reached, we venture out on the ice
Your warm hand in mine, cold air around us
Not even the woman in orange, a figure of authority
Can break our hold.
We have been brought together
By the times of change.
Like the scent of spice, you linger,
I thought i was wrong to assume,
But honesty proved my wrong
You wished upon a star
And i believe in fate
Somehow we were brought together
By the times of change
