Weary is my head tonight
my body feels like lead
as I sink back into the chair
and stare up to the crying beams
and wait to cease to be awake
it's late, I want my eyes to close
repose, my mind to keep
from further thought
I ought, to go to bed and rest
at best, to sleep a dreamless sleep
and wake again refreshed
