Tired And Uninspired Poem by Francis Duggan

Tired And Uninspired

Rating: 5.0

Tired of his mates and tired of his wife
And so very tired of his so boring life
Tired of his job and always feelings tired
And of his surroundings so uninspired.

Resigned as a member of the football club
Tired of his drinking mates at the local pub
Tired of their talk about last week's result and about next weekend's game
Their conversations always seem the same.

Not that he even does seem for to care
Knows that his childless wife is having an affair
Out of love and out of sorts and feeling down
One of the unhappiest men of the town.

Little to smile about for him of late
Nothing in life for him to celebrate
Happiness from him does seem far away
Everyday for him is a boring day.

Thinks about leaving town for to live elsewhere
For to try out his luck in the big World out there
It has been awhile now since he has laughed at a joke
All in all he is an unhappy bloke.
