Tired Longings - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Just lying here in bed my sweet one
listening to my audiobook a very old favorite.
I lay here half asleep and dozing knowing
that having you right here in my arms
would make everything heaven.
So I just wanted to tell you sweet one
that I so truly love you and miss you
and that I would give anything to have you here beside me
sharing kisses and smiling ever so sweetly
as we both drifted listening to my books on audio.
