To A Special Intern Poem by Michael J ORourke2

To A Special Intern

To a special intern

While gazing at the heavens this night
I thought I saw a shooting star
Or maybe just a flash of light
A cosmic wonder in my mind's jar.
I took a moment to surmise
The least of God's eternal truth
The luster of your sky blue eyes
And the innocence of your blessed youth.
I sought the rhymes of poetry
And the grandeur of this heavenly view
To solve another mystery
That you are poetry and this poem is for you!
