To be quite frank
I would have hidden Anne Frank,
I would had hid her away
Every single day.
I would had told no one where she was hiding
Or with her who was siding,
No matter her belief or the color of her skin
I would not allow her captors in.
I would not had turned her in to the government
For any type of punishment,
No matter of the reasoning why
I will not be the person who helped her suffer or die.
Even though she was a refugee
She still had every right to be free,
Even if my friends and family said they would
Soulfully I never could.
I will not believe or support racist or bigoted cries
I will not believe or trust in propaganda or lies,
No matter what leaders or their followers speak
Evil and hate I will not ever seek.
Cowards and traitors did have her arrested
And not one person there protested,
In America she would had been turned in with no sweat on the brow
Racists and sinners are doing that right now.
