To Be Nobody One Lonely Christmas Poem by RIC BASTASA

To Be Nobody One Lonely Christmas

to sit in silence
in one corner of the mall
inside a flood of
people

no one knows you
and you know no one

you put both arms on
the side of the chair
look around
and sip your coffee

it is only once a year
that you find yourself here
