To Be Remembered Poem by Paul Warren

To Be Remembered

The Mexicans have a phrase
"Feo fuerte y formal"
Which means
"He was ugly, strong and had dignity"
And was how John Wayne wanted to be remembered

When the dust has cleared
And I am at my final rest
I wonder if this phrase will apply.
