To Be Young Poem by Koi Moe

To Be Young

Rating: 5.0

They say beauty withers,
With age grows wrinkles and wrinkles bring bags.
Bags so heavy no-man would want to carry.
They say age brings wisdom.
However they need not tell you about the wisdom you've lost.
For my mind has claimed fog, and yet one thing remains.
The names of many, but no faces for them to claim.
Places and streets, somewhat vague.
I wish I could go back to the earlier days.
To be youthful,
To be young
Oh—, for I wish for one thing,
And that is to put faces to these names that are fogging my brain.
