To Become One Poem by Margaret Alice Second

To Become One

Once inside the dream
I’m more awake than in
physical reality where
consciousness always
is half asleep, in the
dream world awareness
takes on new qualities
and feeling is real, the
sensation delicious and
sensuality becomes an
art, heartbeat increasing
as the touch is felt in the
heart, a face godlike in
shining appearance and
words, delightful in soft
whispers, sonorous in
endearments, and the
embrace becomes a
wonderful experience
lips touching means
hearts melting until in
the storm that follows
two spirits entwine
to become one…
