To Begin With



To begin with.
A verse, a line
that sparks the first flame
and then another
and another
all sparkling the flames
then
in the night the fire-tongue
leap and fly
and leap
unto the heavens and sky
those giant things we slumber
below
restless resting
from our tired day
and possibly warring
