To heal after a breakup
First thing to do is to not make up,
With them do not stay in touch
Do not use your ex as a crutch.
Don't ever check up on each other
As would a worried, father or mother,
Do, not keep looking over your shoulder
Remember, it is all over.
Don't go out and check up on them
Stop thinking about her or him,
Stop checking in
Don't worry about where they've been.
End the situation full contact
That is the truest ending and fact,
No emails, texts or a chat
End it and terminate it just like that.
Don't give their social media a look
Don't open up that book,
Their stories you need not know or read
That's a subconscious plead.
You must remember to move on
You must not be a worried, frightened pawn,
You must be honest and real
That is the only way that you will heal.
