To Keys Poem by Nikia Tate

To Keys

Rating: 3.0

An embrace that took my breath away. It stilled my mind, and gave a warmth desired in the coldest of nights. The touch of his fingers were like fire. As time and all else ceased to exist, he kept my bare shoulders warm with his kiss. Showing strength and a gentle disposition. Qualities I asked for, silently and aloud. Knowing this to be the beginning and the end, I secretly revel in the absence of everything that I previously observed on that night. Snapshots taken, so that I may summon this magic when I desire. Now there are no more words left to be spoken. A temporary bond is now broken. Wondering how long will this encounter be carried, soon after you entered our spirits were married. A forced smile after he walked out the door. Will our eyes meet again? Nevermore.
