As I stand to await a fall
A quivering decision lies within my feet
To fall will be to end a life of misery
So why is it I stand to deliver
What seem to be my last words
I lived a life where I endured such pain
As I watched the change in the sky
As the leaves of the trees in autumn
Were demolished in the air
I watched every part of my soul
Scatter with the changing seasons
As the spring bought a refreshing light
That bloomed into existence hope
For an instance my heart felt at ease
I began to recall all the happiness
I once knew to be my own
As I came closer to the end
The pain was not physical
Rather an emotional tenderness
To procrastinate
The inevitable
That is death
Sadness has embraced my heart.your words are pregnant with sorrow. I wish a ray of hope will find a slit in your heart.Great poetry.Thank you.

A very heart-touching and sad poem, quietly intense. Wish the flower of hope to grow and blossom within your spirit interiorly right now. Thank you for sharing this poem. Please write more, I like how you write so delicately honest. Thank; you, RoseAnn
