To Love A Rock Poem by Pen Anthony

To Love A Rock

She spoke the language of my heart
In so nice a voice my heart stopped to listen
It is then it was never the same again
In collusion with my senses

I was rendered insane
Not totally but insanely in love
She shone a light into my soul
I was hers for the taking

I am not one to follow my heart
This time i chose to let it lead
In big strides and leaps
I was going for her

She knew not of how much
Power she wielded over me
If she did
She's an actor denied an Oscar

In my best words
I painted out my heart to her
She was unmoved
Unbothered even.
